Meet the Smart Yield Team
Originally from south central Nebraska, Troy graduated from Elwood Public High School in 1981. Troy attended Kearney State College in Kearney Nebraska from 1981 through 1983. Troy lives in Kearney and is married with four children. Troy began his career in commodities 25 years ago, assisting area Ag Producers hedging grains and livestock. In 2004 along with a partner, they started Smart Yield.

Growing up in central Nebraska, Eric was raised in the heart of the agriculture community. Throughout high school and college he worked on a farm where he gained a strong work ethic and learned the values and importance the agriculture community provides. Eric attended college at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where he graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s of science degree in Industrial Distribution.
After spending four years working in Colorado, Eric returned to the good life and has been located in Kearney with his wife and daughters ever since. The experience Eric gained while working in Colorado showed him that a solid business relationship starts with honesty, integrity, and trust. Eric looks forward to continue building lasting business relationships with his current clients as well as beginning new client relationships.

As a child and young adult, Brady was raised in north central Nebraska. He graduated from Loup City Public School in 2013. Brady attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution in 2018. Brady worked in the center pivot irrigation business during his time at UNK. Working in center pivot irrigation taught Brady the value of hard work and integrity. In 2019, he decided to begin a new career and joined the Smart Yield team. Brady looks forward to continuing to build new and existing relationships in the Ag Industry, while helping producers and investors realize their goals and potential through managing risks and developing market solutions.
